How to select perfect wedding heels
Choosing wedding heels has never been easy and will never be easier as long as the wide variety of shapes, colors and styles are in existence. But the wide variety of options is to suit everyone’s preference therefore you need to know your preferences. Here are a few things to look into when making a selection of your wedding shoes.
Comfort
Comfort is the single most important thing since you’ll have your heel on from morning till late in the evening. Comfortable wedding heels have a padding. Check to see that the shoes have this padding and an extra support that makes them tolerable and comfortable.
Cost
It is plausible that everyone’s on a budget, but don’t let the factor of cost compromise other things. It is advisable to spend about 10 to 15% of the cost of your wedding gown on shoes. If your gown costs $600, your wedding heels should range between $60 and $75.
Fabric
Most wedding shoes are traditionally made from silk and satin, but your wedding gown and preference should have the greatest impact on the type of fabric chosen. If you chose a non-traditional gown, your shoes don’t have to be traditional either.
Heel height
The most recommended advice on this issue is to stick to what you are used to and comfortable on. If you normally put on a 3” high heels, but instead opt for something higher than that, you can guess how awkward it’s going to be.
Wedding destination
If you are going to have a beach wedding, your wedding heels certainly need to reflect it. Perhaps sandals, wedges or funky flip-flops could do perfectly fine for a beach wedding. As for a formal wedding such as in a church, sky high heels could be fine, if that’s what you are used to.
